5 Ways to Pre-Game in the District
July 24, 2018
We’ve been running 2 shuttles from the Warehouse District to Mosaic Stadium all summer, but there’s lots more to do than just park and get on the bus. Check out our list of five great places to pre-game in the Warehouse District to get extra excited for the big game!
Jack Keaton’s BBQ & Bar
Located at 2410 Dewdney Ave. near the Dewdney Avenue & Scarth Street Shuttle stop, Jack Keaton’s is known as “the best BBQ in Regina!” Their bar offers local craft beers on tap, and happy hour from 2PM to 5PM includes daily food specials. Stop by for a casual bite to eat and a beer before heading off to Mosaic Stadium!
Warehouse boasts unique craft breweries that offer an alternative to buying beer at the game. Swing by District Brewing Co. on 8th Avenue to enjoy their patio and happy hour. At Bushwakker on Dewdney, relax indoors and try a variety of classic and seasonal beers from the first brewpub in Regina, alongside delicious daily food specials. Or check out Rebellion, also on Dewdney, to taste a unique brew and enjoy locally-sourced snacks, like hot rods from Butcher Boy or Copper Kettle pizza.
Country Corner Donuts
Country Corner is well-known for delicious, fresh-baked donuts, but if you need a little more fuel before the big game, try out one of their sandwiches with a simple cup of coffee. Country Corner is within easy walking distance of both Warehouse shuttle stops, on the corner of Broad and Dewdney.
Outlaw Trail Spirits
Located on 9th Avenue, Outlaw is a micro-distillery that offers a taste of the Old West with their spirits! There’s something for every taste, including unique spirits like their Climax SK Cool Cucumber Vodka or new Limerick Lime Rum Molasses Spirit. Stop by their lounge to enjoy a drink, or, if you have extra time, tour the distillery for $10 to learn about their process, sample their unique products, and get a souvenir!
Brewed Awakening Dewdney
Not in the mood for the bar atmosphere, or just need some good old fashioned caffeine before the big game? Grab a hot coffee at Brewed Awakening for chilly evening games, or an iced drink to cool off in the summer heat. Pair your drink with local meals and homemade baking. The Dewdney location is also licensed, offering specialty coffees, tea, and hot chocolate in addition to beer and wine.
