June 20, 2017
Regina’s Warehouse Business Improvement District has announced the hiring of Leasa Gibbons as its new Executive Director.
“We are thrilled to have Leasa join us in leading our organization,” said Mark Heise, acting Chair for the RWBID. “Warehouse is continuing to grow and evolve — Leasa has extensive BID experience and the kind of dedication that will keep us moving forward.”
Gibbons, a graduate of the University of Regina, joined the Regina Business Improvement District in 2011 as Director of Marketing and Communications. Most recently, she served as RDBID’s Manager of Community Partnerships.
“I am excited for the opportunity, and honoured to be part of such a diverse group of people who make up the Warehouse District,” said Gibbons. “I look forward to working with city and community leaders toward continued development and reimagining of many of the amazing buildings in the district and advocating for Warehouse’s role in the Regina Revitalization Project.”
In addition to organization management and operations, Gibbons will lead active projects including the Business Recruitment Study and streetscape enhancements along with seasonal projects and events.
The RWBID represents over 550 businesses, many of which are independently owned and operated and have been in continuous operation for several decades. The Warehouse District provides a wide range of services, including engaging with and advocating on behalf of our member businesses, organizing arts and cultural events, developing green space, streetscaping initiatives, as well as graffiti and litter removal.
