Festival Rules

District Fest is committed to providing a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all guests to enjoy. Festival rules are intended to support that commitment. Any guests found in violation of the festival rules may be refused service or removed from the festival.

No drug usage, including cannabis.
No professional video or camera equipment.
No pets allowed, except for service animals.
No weapons of any kind, including knives, brass knuckles, and bear spray.
No obscene, offensive or abusive language.
No dangerous or illegal behaviour.
Backpacks and bags are permitted but may be searched at the discretion of event staff.

NOTICE OF PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING

Photography and filming is likely to occur during the event in the festival area. By attending the event, you acknowledge, accept and voluntarily consent to the use of your image, voice, or likeness for promotional and marketing purposes.

Admission is Free! District Fest is free to attend and open to all ages. No tickets are required for general admission – just come down and join us!
District Fest takes over Dewdney Avenue and The Yards in Regina’s Warehouse District, with activities, entertainment and experiences happening throughout the festival site. Watch for District Fest and parking signage when you arrive.
District Fest is an outdoor event and the Saskatchewan weather can change quickly. Check the forecast before heading out and come prepared with comfortable footwear, sunscreen, a hat and layers for the evening.
Free parking is available in designated festival lots but it is limited. We recommend also considering nearby on-street parking, public transit, or other arrangements.
Like beer gardens, only better. A licensed patio area featuring beverages from our very own local breweries and distilleries. Government issued photo ID will be required to enter the licensed area and to purchase or consume alcohol. Drink tickets will be available for purchase at the event., accepting both cash and debit. Please enjoy responsibly.

GETTING HERE

Due to the District Fest road closures, Regina Transit stops along Dewdney Avenue within the event area will be temporarily relocated to 8th Avenue. If you are planning to take transit to District Fest, please allow a little extra time and check Regina Transit before heading out for the most up-to-date route, stop and schedule information.
Dewdney Avenue between Cornwall Street and Broad Street will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic to create the District Fest site. Please watch for posted road closure and parking signage and allow yourself a little extra time when arriving in the area.
Pickup and drop-offs should be planned within the Yards, where there will be space for vehicles to safely pull in and out of the area. Please follow signage and the direction of parking staff when arriving. For everyone’s safety, please do not stop or park near road closures, event entrances or designated emergency access routes.
District Fest is a free, open-access event, with multiple entrances and exits located throughout the festival site. There is no single main entrance or check in required. Attendees can enter and exit the event from several locations along the festival grounds. Please follow event signage and any direction provided by event staff, volunteers or security personnel.
Limited free event parking will be available at the Yards and can be accessed from Cornwall Street. Parking attendants will be on site to coordinate vehicles and help you find a space. Please approach the parking area slowly and follow the direction of event staff. Bicycle parking will be available at the Yards. Event staff will direct cyclists to a designated area where fencing will be available to securely lock bicycles. Please remember to bring your own bike lock.

RELAX & ENJOY

Designated accessible parking will be available at the Yards. Please ensure your accessible parking permit is clearly displayed so parking attendants can quickly identify your vehicle and direct you to the appropriate parking area. District Fest takes place primarily outdoors on streets and surrounding public spaces. We are working to keep primary event routes and activity areas accessible. If you require assistance while at the festival, please connect with a District Fest volunteer or event staff.
District Fest is a large outdoor festival with live music, crowds, and amplified sound. Guests who are sensitive to noise may wish to bring appropriate hearing protection.
Public washrooms will be available throughout the District Fest site and have been strategically located near several of the main activity areas for easy access. Washroom locations will be clearly identified on the event map, and volunteers will be available to direct you to the nearest facilities. Accessible washroom facilities will also be available.
Lost & Found will be located at the Volunteer Headquarters. If you find a lost item, please bring it to Volunteer Headquarters or give it to a District Fest volunteer. If you’ve lost something, stop by and our team will be happy to help. For lost children or separated family members, please notify the nearest security officer, volunteer or event staff member immediately.
ATMs will be available at several locations along Dewdney Avenue including:

-          The Break Pool Hall 2220 Dewdney Avenue
-          Revival Music Room 2224 Dewdney Avenue
-          The Rail Yard Saloon 2301 Dewdney Avenue
Your safety is important to us. Professional security and first aid personnel will be on site throughout District Fest to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. The first aid station will be clearly marked on the event site, and security personnel will be located throughout the festival grounds. If you need assistance at any time, please approach the nearest security officer, event staff or volunteer, and they will be happy to help. For a serious or life threatening emergency, call 911 immediately and notify event staff.
